The ROHN R-55G standard 10-ft tower section is the basic building block of one of the world's most well-known medium weight guyed tower models, the ROHN 55G. The R-55G uses double-bolted joints proven to be the best method of joining tower sections for sturdiness and stability. Every ROHN R-55G section is completely hot-dip galvanized after fabrication and features a 18 ½-in face, 1 ½-in OD tubular legs and 7/16-in solid serpentine Zig-Zag bracing. Each 10-ft section contains all required nuts and bolts inside one leg.
The ROHN 55G lends itself to a wide variety of uses in the communications field, particularly where unusual wind loading and height requirements exist. The 55G is a true multi-purpose structure that provides excellent strengths for guyed applications up to 400-ft. The 45G tower structures are built using standard 10-ft tower sections with double-bolted joints that provide uncompromising strength and durability in a wide variety of communications tower applications.
