Our QStor QMX 40 is based on premium components and represents a consistent and powerful solution for video surveillance thanks to the Mobotix network cameras. Each QStor device by ExuS Technology does not only deliver reliable performance when recording video, but all products come with impressive technical features. The QStor QMX 40 is based on a 1.8 GHz Intel Atom dual core processor, 2 GB of RAM, a set of hard drives that are optimized for 24/7 NAS operation and a Gigabit Ethernet interface for fast connectivity. The black cube chassis has decent looks and it is ideal for small installations that shall not require a lot of physical space.

The QMX 40 can manage up to ten cameras. This is important to ensure that each ExuS Technology device is capable of delivering the specified features and performance at all times. Ten cameras can be operated simultaneously, and we can guarantee that you will never run into bandwidth issues. The device will serve reliably in storing and archiving video data on your network.
Perfect Data Storage
You need suitable hardware and custom software for demanding video storage. The QStor QMX 40 is based on a Posix-compatible operating system and a MD RAID storage solution. The RAID system is based on four enterprise class hard drives (cold swap) that can be operated in RAID modes 0, 1, 5 or 10. The default configuration offers 2 TB of storage and can be upgraded to 8 TB.

Our QStor QMX 40 can be installed and deployed without any specific network expertise in just a few minutes. There are five steps that everyone can master: unwrap, set up, configure an IP address, launch the assistant and you’re all set!
The Wizard Helps
Our comfortable setup wizard helps to dramatically reduce the time required for installation. Cameras are automatically installed and integrated for surveillance, which makes any manual configuration obsolete. This is especially important if you need to setup multiple cameras. There is a 1-click web interface that allows to modify specific settings and to fine-tune settings for each camera if necessary.
Network Features: NFS, SMB, Bonjour
QStor QMX 40 supports all popular network protocols. Bonjour is used to scan the network for devices and services, the NFS protocol takes care of write operation and reads are executed via SMB. Each video camera receives its own IP address and works through an individual NFS share. It is also possible to access the QMX 40 via the Mobotix management software.
