Manual configuration the Grandstream GXV3140 and Mobotix IP Security Cameras
On the Grandstream Phone –
- Reset the phone to factory defaults
- Under Account 1 -> Account Name – IPVideoTalk (Or as per user)
SIP User ID and Authentication ID – Leave as per factory defaults
Name – Leave Blank
User ID is phone number – uncheck
- Under Advanced Setting -> Use Random port – uncheck
- Leave the remaining settings to factory default
- Reboot the phone
On the Mobotix Camera –
- Under Admin Menu – VOIP Settings -> Username – MXCam (or as per user)
SIP Domain – camera IP address
Registrar – Leave Blank
SIP ID – Same as Username set above
Outbound Proxy – Disabled
Use Router Address – Disabled
Audio Codec Settings – Select PCMA
Video Settings – Video Enabled
Video Size – QCIF
Video Bit Rate – 150 kbits/sec
- Leave the remaining settings to factory defaults.
- Under Admin Menu – Phone Profiles -> Set a Profile Name – example test
Phone Number – test@phoneIPaddress
Connection Type – SIP Video
Message – Standard
After Message Sent – Intercom
Camera Remote Control – Off
Hangup After – Never
- Under Setup Menu – Event Settings -> Setup Video Motion Window
- Under Setup Menu – Messaging -> Enable Messaging Profile
Select the Event Type under Event Selection (This case – Video Motion)
Set Phone Call-Out Action to same profile as set under Phone Profiles so that camera can call the phone
Upon completing the above instructions whenever there is movement within the video motion window, the camera will call the phone. If there is no motion and you want to check if the camera can call the phone, you can do so by dialing out the profile setup for the phone under the Phone Profile menu in the admin menu.
